Tumbala! - The London Yiddish Song School I have had one of the best weeks of my life! It was, truly very emotional - full of outstanding people, music, teachers, singers, experiences, dance and song. I think the structure worked very well of lessons in the morning and singing in the afternoon and I thought that the way leaders integrated teaching the language into the song sessions was excellent. To register for Tumbala!, please download and use the 2011 registration form Tumbala! The London Yiddish Song Course, for advanced singers who want to learn more of – and about – the Yiddish language, will take place again in 2011. It will run from Sunday 14 August – Friday 19 August together with the Yiddish Language course Ot Azoy!. This includes masterclasses and workshops with some of the world’s most revered researchers and interpreters of Yiddish song, Shura Lipovsky (Amsterdam), Polina Shepherd (Brighton), Hilda Bronstein (London) and Yiddish language teaching by Helen Beer (University College London). Download the registration form here.
