Ot Azoy! (This is the way!) ...to read, speak and write Yiddish in a week! The third inspiring and enjoyable language course devised and taught by Dr Helen Beer, University College London,
The perfect opportunity for dipping your toes or immersing yourself in Yiddish language, song and culture: the course is for complete beginners of all backgrounds and for those at intermediate level; for those who always wanted to learn or brush up on the Yiddish they might have heard as a child but were not confident enough (or could not spare the time) to devote a whole summer to it. It is also for those who have already started and want to go further and reach intermediate level of reading writing and speaking and its also a lot of fun. Its especially good for singers and instrumentalists, who can learn to make their instruments sound more Jewish! It makes a great companion course for KlezFest London 2004. Many Ot Azoy! Graduates are now continuing studies at Advanced summer courses and at University. This course is followed immediately by KlezFest London 2004 for Klezmer music, song and dance. (Fee discounts are available if you attending both courses.) Fees: Ot Azoy! KlezFest
Accommodation can be arranged through the course organisation.
