KlezFest in the Park 2005

Regents Park Bandstand. Admission Free  

A weekend of toe-tapping heart-rending Klezmer and Yiddish music from the villages of Eastern Europe centuries ago - fusing with the beat of contemporary London.  Join in songs and dances of the Old country or to just sit in the sunshine and enjoy.

Bring your instrument on Sunday and learn a klezmer tune (Bandstand is opposite the café, Inner Circle)

Learn Yiddish Dances with Andreas and Klezmer Alliance
3.00—3.40 Klezmer Alliance Band  (Germany-Moldavia)
3.45—4.00  Sing a Yiddish song taught by Shura Lipovsky (Amsterdam)
4.00—4.20 Dance led by Andreas and Michael faculty band led by Merlin Shepherd
4.20—4.40 Learn a Klezmer Tune - public to bring instruments
4.45—5.20 Listen to Berl, Shmerl & Sons klezmer group (Russia)
