Klezmer Classes 2009
Join SOAS Klezmer Classes and learn how to play Klezmer, the music of
the Jews of Eastern Europe.
and much more All instruments welcome - however musicians must have a good grasp of their instruments - minimum grade 3 level or equivalent. Classes will be taught by Ilana Cravitz, author of the recently published book "The Klezmer Fiddle, A How To Guide", (OUP). Ilana has extensive knowledge of Klezmer music and its development as well as substantial performance and teaching experience. As this is a course, it is advisable to attend all the classes to gain maximum benefit. Single class options are available.
