The Jewish Music Institute is an independent arts organisation (non-religious), established in March 2000 at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, after 18 years of successful operation under the name of the Jewish Music Heritage Trust. JMI is a national focus bringing Jewish music to the mainstream British cultural arena for people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. The work of JMI is spread across many sectors.
