Julian Klein Memorial Concert,
Monday 7 July, 7.30pm
Naftali Herstik accompanied by Raymond Goldstein is joined by participating cantors in a memorial concert to Rabbi Julian Klein who died suddenly last year. A scholarship to study chazanut will be established in Julian's name from the proceeds.

to present stimulating lectures, debates, masterclasses, guided listening, and discussion on matters relevant to both practicing chazanim and ba'alei t'filah. This year's theme: nusach and melodies of the Yamim Nora'im with a special focus on the compositions of Yossele Rosenblatt in the 75th anniversary year of his death.

Meet colleagues, compare notes, learn/ brush-up/ refine/ develop/ broaden/ increase your skills and learn some new music that is guaranteed to enhance the services in your synagogue.

This convention is also for lay leaders, choirmasters and choristers, as well as congregants and all who wish to further their understanding and appreciation of synagogue music today.

Fees:
Full rate: £210, student rate: £120 (includes ticket for the concert)
Fees include all sessions and workshops plus tea and coffee and kosher snack lunches.
Some scholarships covering all or part of the course fees are available.

The Cantors Convention provides an unrivalled opportunity for practising and aspiring cantors in the UK, Europe and further afield and anyone interested in leading services in an orthodox community to be inspired by some of the world's greatest cantors and synagogue musicians.
