Screening of Benya Krik, a classic silent film with a screenplay by the great Russian writer Isaac Babel set in the seamy Jewish underworld of Odessa in the 1920s. Virtuoso violinist, songwriter and composer Sophie Solomon is one of the leading klezmer violinists of her generation. Her band features Ian Watson on accordion.
