FRANK LONDON KLEZMER BRASS ALLSTARS

A live performance recorded during COVID-19 on a roof in Manhattan featuring: Frank London – trumpet, Lorin Sklamberg – vocal,  Eleanor Reissa – vocal, Joshua Nelson – vocal, Sarah Mina Gordon – vocal, Michael Winograd – clarinet, Matt Darriau – saxophone, Brian Drye – trombone, Ron Caswell – tuba, Aaron Alexander – drums, Ilya Shneyveys – accordion, Brandon Seabrook – guitar.

Frank London is a New York City-based trumpeter, bandleader, and composer active in klezmer and world music. He also plays various other wind instruments and keyboards, and occasionally sings backup vocals. With The Klezmatics, he won a Grammy award in Contemporary World Music for “Wonder Wheel (lyrics by Woody Guthrie)”. In 2016, he was awarded the Hungarian Order of Merit Knight’s Cross for his far-reaching influence on the Klezmer music as well as his significant contributions to the preservation of Hungarian-Jewish music and culture.

SHE’KOYOKH

A performance recorded at the Pannonica Festival of Poland.

From humble origins busking at East London’s Columbia Road Flower Market, She’Koyokh now performs at famous concert halls around Europe. As well as TV appearances and live sessions on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and World on 3, She’Koyokh has performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, WOMAD, Cheltenham and the inaugural WOMAD Fuerteventura, and was nominated as Best Group in the Songlines World Music Awards 2012. Recently the band supported Mahala Rai Banda at the London Jazz Cafe and collaborated with the Aurora Orchestra at LSO St Luke’s.

International legends The Turbans bind together musics from ‘manywhere’ with their interstellar live show which ignites the crowd. Sonically huge and visually arresting, they are a powerhouse of talent, bringing their vibrant and unique sound to audiences who can do nothing more than smile, dance and shout for joy.

​Growing from the intertwining paths of many talented musicians travelling the world, this extraordinary project has grown in a few years from very humble beginnings, into a progressive name on the London music scene. Their members have gathered from countries such as Turkey, Bulgaria, Israel, Iran, Greece and England to perform in concerts and festivals around the UK, North America, Middle-East, Hong Kong, India and Europe.
