JMI Online: Film: The Return Of The Violin
A story about survival, not only of a people but of a remarkable violin.
The 1713 Stradivarius was given to a young Polish Jewish prodigy, Bronislaw Huberman, who later became the founder of what is now the Israeli Philharmonic. It was stolen twice during Huberman’s ownership and later put up for sale as a museum piece before being purchased by one of the world’s most celebrated violinists, Joshua Bell.
